Privacy Policy

• From your Google account: your name, email address and profile photo.
• Your birth details: date, place, and time if you give it. We turn the place into coordinates and a timezone to calculate your chart.
• Your phone number, only if you choose to add one. We store it, but we do not use it to contact you.
• Your conversations: the messages you send and the replies you receive.
• Memories: short notes the companion keeps from your conversations (for example, that you are considering a job change) so it can be personal next time.
• Basic usage events (such as sign-up, starting a conversation, returning). These never contain the text of your messages.
• Technical data needed to run the service, such as your IP address in server logs, which we use for security and to prevent abuse.

To calculate your chart, reply to you, remember what matters between conversations, keep the service secure, and understand whether the product is useful so we can improve it. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Adding a phone number is optional. We keep it so that, later, we can confirm it is yours, for example through WhatsApp, and we will ask you before we ever send you anything. We never send your phone number to the AI, we do not sell it, and we never share it with advertisers.

You can change or remove your number at any time in your Profile. Removing it deletes it from our records. Deleting your account removes it too.

If you tap the microphone button, your browser or phone turns your speech into text using its own speech service (for example Google on Chrome and Android, Apple on Safari). We never receive or store the audio. We only get the text, and only when you press send, exactly as if you had typed it.

Replies are written by an AI model provided by OpenAI. To write a reply, we send OpenAI your messages, your first name, a summary of your chart (signs and planetary periods), and relevant memories. We do not send your email, your date of birth or your birthplace. OpenAI processes this to provide the service under its business terms.

You are talking to an AI, not a human astrologer. Astrology here is a way to reflect, not a prediction of the future, and the companion does not give medical, legal or financial advice.

Your data is stored on servers in India (AWS Mumbai region). Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.

Only you, through your account. A small number of people running the service may access data when needed to keep it working or to investigate abuse. Service providers (AWS, Google, OpenAI) process data on our behalf. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

You can see what the companion remembers under Profile. Individual memories cannot be edited or removed one by one. If you want everything gone, delete your account.

Go to Profile and choose Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your profile, chart, conversations and memories. Anonymous usage counts that no longer identify you may remain. Encrypted backups that contain your data are automatically deleted within 30 days.

You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent, by emailing us. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Vedic Astrolab is for people aged 18 and over. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we will delete it.

We store a sign-in token and your theme choice in your browser so the app works. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
